1. Who we are

2. Using this website

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published here is the one that applies.

3. This site is not clinical advice

The information on this website is general information about children’s speech, language and communication. It is not a diagnosis and it is not advice about your individual child. Never delay seeking professional advice because of something you read here. If you are worried about your child’s development, contact us, your GP, your health visitor or your local NHS speech and language therapy service. In an emergency call 999.

4. Accuracy and availability

We take care to keep the content, including fees, accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee it is error-free or complete. Fees quoted on this site are indicative; the fee confirmed to you when you book is the one that applies. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site.

5. Appointments, fees and cancellations

The clinic operates by appointment only. Terms specific to your child’s care — including fees, payment, cancellation notice and the handling of missed appointments — are agreed with you directly before therapy begins and take precedence over anything on this website. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance; a contract for therapy arises only when we expressly confirm a booking.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, images, logos and design, belongs to The Communication Clinic or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may view, download and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, sell or systematically extract content without our written permission.

7. Links to other websites

We link to third-party sites such as the HCPC, RCSLT and ASLTIP for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content, and a link does not imply endorsement.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law — including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the general information published on this website.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact Claire directly at info@thecommunicationclinic.co.uk so we can try to resolve it. As an HCPC-registered clinician, Claire is also accountable to the Health and Care Professions Council, which has its own concerns process.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
